30 de July, 2023
With five poles in Brazil, the project, through art workshops, promotes health, culture and education
The “Arte Por Toda Parte” project inaugurates, in the center of the city of Mauá da Serra (PR), the beginning of activities at the Municipal School “Maria Baueb Jamus ”. The ceremony will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, (02), at 10 am , with the presence of the Municipal Secretary of Education, Vânia Alencar Coutinho dos Santos, the creator of the project, the artist, Patrícia Muniz, the teacher and artist, Mariana Schaffer , from the pedagogical area of the project for representatives of SL Alimentos, a company that supports “Arte Por Toda Parte” in the municipality.
In March, the project began at the Sandra Maria Municipal School and by the end of the year should benefit, in Mauá da Serra, 270 students from the public school system. They are children from five to 11 years old, who will receive drawing, painting, ceramics and art workshops, promoting health, culture and education.
The “Arte Por Toda Parte” project, which has one of its workshops awarded by UNESCO, is taking place in five centers in Brazil: Londrina (PR), Mauá da Serra (PR), Porto Alegre (RS) and the metropolitan region; Aporé (Goiás); Monte Alto (SP). It has already passed through schools in the State of Santa Catarina and negotiations are starting to open a center in Espírito Santo.
In Londrina, the “Arte Por Toda Parte” project started in May 2022 at the Professor José Gasparini Municipal School , in Conjunto Farid Libos (partnership with the Municipal Department of Education). For five months, around 400 children and teenagers were able to participate in the project workshops that moved the school and involved students, teachers, employees and parents. This year, the project assisted a school with autistic children and adolescents and the Roberta Miranda Institute (education and work for the blind), with material in Braille and with the support of Viação Garcia.
The project works through the workshops on restraint, motor skills, creativity and concentration. “We noticed that the children overcome some limits with the project, of things they thought they couldn't do and now they can do it”, says Patrícia Muniz, creator of “Arte Por Toda Parte” and president of Instituto Arte Por Toda Parte, based in Londrina and a branch in Linhares, in Espírito Santo. The numbers so far are representative, serving more than 16,000 young people between the ages of four and 16, with around 550 workshops.
