Discover Our Sustainability Journey

As the largest oat mill in Brazil and one of the leading whole grain cereal industrialists in Latin America, we also bear the responsibility to evolve in our care for what allows us to achieve these titles: the environment. By implementing regenerative agriculture, we are influencing the supply chain to rethink how activities are carried out and how we can, in a connected way, conserve and rehabilitate the agricultural system. We envision a paradigm shift in soil protection, nature conservation, and all other pillars related to environmental, social, and governance responsibility.
Regenerative agriculture is an evolution of traditional farming practices. By choosing this farming method, the rural producer prioritizes soil health through more appropriate management techniques, such as no-till farming, crop rotation, the use of bio-inputs, and the reduction of chemical products, promoting a low-carbon chain.
Doing good while producing healthy foods
The field endeavor is part of a series of events that make up SL's ESG plan. Aiming to present solutions that add value to the sector and drive change, we are challenging ourselves to think of new and better ways to produce. There is also a constant concern with reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and adopting practices that contribute to slowing down climate change. This is why continuous research and pilot projects, which bring scalability to better practices in the field and industry, reaffirm our commitment to society and our purpose.
Accelerating impacts together
In addition to the advances being implemented in the field, SL is a signatory of the UN Global Compact while also becoming part of a select group of companies in Paraná to disclose their Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory (GHG). The initiative, which is the first step towards mitigating environmental impacts and building a Net Zero program, is registered in the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program, whose purpose is to assist in diagnosis and decision-making that favor sustainability pillars.

Through the United Nations (UN) initiative, we are expanding our efforts to mobilize our value chain, promoting, in our business practices, the Ten universally accepted Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. This is an agenda that connects with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the legacy we want to leave to the world as a valid company whose results are applauded by society
