In the landscape of corporate innovation, SL Alimentos has once again been honored. The stage for this achievement was the BRDE Labs 2023, an open innovation program created by the Regional Bank for the Development of the Far South to accelerate progress in the southern region of Brazil.

BRDE Labs is a program that connects startups with large companies. The 2023 edition embraced the theme "Green and Equitable Innovation" fostering sustainable and inclusive practices. During the cycle, 182 startups and 10 major companies established formidable partnerships. Among them, SL Alimentos found in the initiative proposals to transform industrial waste into sustainable products.

The award for "Outstanding Innovation Company" is due to the enthusiasm with which we accepted the challenge and conducted the entire process. It is recognition of the potential impact of the outlined projects and alignment with the guidelines of BRDE Labs.

This is the second award we have received in 2023 within the theme. Prior to this achievement, SL was the first in "Innovation in Sustainability" at the Fi Innovation Awards 2023 for its concentrated cowpea protein, which values one of the most consumed grains in Brazil.
